A logical question asked today, by many, is what can I do to maximize our yield yet minimize our input costs?  In light of the roller coaster prices we are not only receiving for our crops, but are having to pay out for our crop needs, our management techniques are having to be tweaked to help our farms reach their economic potential. 

 

One of the first steps in achieving this is to assess what we have to begin with.  Soil samples should be updated every few years, depending on the inputs and outputs of the soil.
